One of the most time-consuming and difficult tasks associated with managing software is the process of importing the license entitlements. But with License Dashboard License Manager, what used to takes weeks or even months can now be done in just a few minutes.

Importing Microsoft Licensing Data

For the majority of organizations, the first step towards Software Asset Management (SAM) is creating an Effective Licensing Position (ELP) for Microsoft.  License Manager dramatically speeds up this process through its dedicated MLS import facility.  Using this unique feature in License Manager,  the MLS is automatically imported and each line item checked for validity, accuracy and any required associations (e.g. between upgrade and base licenses).  Each line item is automatically assigned to the purchase agreement under which it was acquired and can be allocated to the appropriate business unit.  What used to take weeks of manual effort can now be done by License Manager in just a few minutes.
