Visit License Dashboard at the Heliview ITSAM 2020 in Utrecht
On Thursday 19 March 2020, Heliview holds its annual IT & SAM event. Its 18th edition, being held once again at Van der Valk Hotel Utrecht, the event is a great opportunity to meet ITAM professionals consisting of IT/ITAM/SAM managers, Procurement, Service Managers, Industry Specialists. And, as always, we are excited to be a part of an impressive panel of experts in ITAM.
What will attendees see at Heliview’s event?
Through the speaking and networking sessions programmed, attendees will debate the business challenges faced by IT Asset Managers and key related stakeholders in the industry today. Covering the maintenance in internal control, getting buy-in from the board room, and SAM’s development from Infrastructure, to Platform, through to Software, the conference takes a deep-dive into the value behind the role of IT & Software Asset Management.
“To look differently is to see more clearly!”
This year’s theme approaches the role of IT & Software Asset Management from different perspectives. In an environment where organizations only seem to take action when there is an audit, it is time to understand that prevention is better than cure. Both IT & SAM Managers must juggle different disciplines, but identifying which elements are important for the various stakeholders will help get the most value from IT & Software Asset Management. It’s time to refresh the way we looked at IT and Software Asset Management to better reveal where the benefits and opportunities lie.
After the networking breakfast, BNR Nieuwsradio journalist Paul van Liempt, and Crayon CEO Ronald Hoeijenbos will open the day and discuss how even though SAM is such a prolific part of every organization’s culture, it is difficult to raise awareness of it as an indispensable part of every organization. He will offer insight into how to make this change, and how the challenge will likely be even great in an agile, evolving working environment.
Hennie de Hoog and Johan West follow with an interactive session to gauge the SAM maturity of this year’s attendees and find out more about what the role of the ITAM and SAM manager means in their respective organizations. Attendees can then choose their breakout sessions through the morning with scheduled networking sessions.
Sharp on ITSAM, the Talk show element of the event, comes from Arthur Meulstee, Information Security Leader at IKEA, Anne Pietersma, SAM Manager at Royal BAM Group, and hennie de Hoog of the ITAM.NL association. They will discuss how IT must work with other disciplines and how the added value of IT & Software Asset Management plays a major role, not just to save money. They will introduce the idea of collaborating with other stakeholders, especially within a multidisciplinary organization.
After lunch and further breakout sessions covering the implementation of SAM and the changing role of ITAM, René Lansink, Software Asset Manager at ProRail, will reveal who he talks with at his organization to push for that collaboration. Taking attendees through the journey he took to find out who the key players are for good SAM describing his anecdotal situations, pitfalls and successes to take away and inspire in the SAM environment.
